Future of Drones

Many great intellects has predicted that there will be an age when most of our work would be done by machine itself. Speaking of this, introduction of drones is making this vision came true. There is a large range of potential future, from disrupting the fabric of human society in destructive, anarchic ways or unlocking new opportunities in economic development, citizen participation and global security.

  1. Fighting the war:

It all started with military, and this will continue as they become increasingly varied in their roles. Time will come when drones may engage without direct human guidance but presently no one can give assurance.

  1. Drones Doing our work:

Drones carry out tasks humans cannot, or do not want to do themselves. From remotely piloted ambulances to leading SWAT raids in hostile situations, from collecting garbage to moving goods. They also made their way into media, gathering news footage and becoming entertainment tools. Low-impact virtual eco-tourism to deep space exploration is not far away.

  1. Oppressing us:

By allowing a loyal few to control massive arrays of specialized remotes, drones offer great opportunities to one’s with the will and resources to use them.Democracies will have to balance this with political and legal constraints. On the other hand, richer authoritarian states will be amongst the greatest beneficiaries.

  1. Liberating us:

Drones will provide new tools for citizen participation and control, though at the cost of challenging and reshaping our concepts of privacy.. This will pose formidable cultural and legal challenges, therefore radically changing how we think about privacy and public image. At first it’ll be unsettling and divisive, but in longer term, generations will adapt and acquire great opportunities. These involves governments, peers and corporate providers.
